Dear Churches and Friends,                      March April 2020

Thailand is in a “lockdown” because of the virus; very similar situation as in the states. We are free to go out and buy food and essentials; but beyond that, travel is being restricted. Travel between provinces is not allowed, except by permission. Schools are closed and there is to be no group gatherings. This, of course, means churches are not supposed to meet as well. All things considered, our group is in a good situation. The young men in our group all live right together.  So, for now, we have services on Sunday with just the young men. We meet with just 6-8 people, but hold regular services.

Two of the young men are taking turns preparing messages for the Sunday services. The guys have more free time now as well. Throughout the week, we are able to spend more time in the Bible than normal.  Also, during the week we are able to go and visit the older folk and those not able to come on Sunday. The young men are discipling two young Christians. They take turns teaching lessons from our Bible Foundation lessons. We can still give the gospel and hand out tracts as opportunity presents. If the “lockdown” here doesn’t get stricter, we will be able to use the time in a very profitable way. The young men have a chance to practice what they are leaning, and therefore have opportunity to grow spiritually. Thanks for prayers and support.

Together for His service

Jeff Gross
